Uniting under one roof in 2020, we are the South Nicollet Action Center: Minneapolis Climate Action, Somali American Women Action Center, and the Kingfield and Lyndale Neighborhood Associations.
Representing both place-based, cultural, and issue specific community organizations, we are working together to create the Iskaashi Climate Learning Lab; Iskaashi is a Somali word that means collaboration.
Both a racial justice and a climate resilience project, we are recreating our store front location into an environmental learning hub, where we will work alongside residents to take action in caring for our earth, and each other.
